I’d probably describe my recent career shift from the role of Creative Director to Creative Strategist as more of a shimmy than a pivot…

Firstly, because i hate buzz words like pivot, but mainly because that’s pretty much what I’ve been doing anyway throughout my twenty-odd years as a successful Creative Director, Copywriter and agency leader. A career also spent creatively solving business problems, directly with many of the industry’s leading CMO’s and Marketing Directors.

And while I still love making great work, it’s become apparent my experience is now more valuable further upstream, working with senior clients and agency partners, crafting strategies that can evolve into expansive ideas.

Now, with so many touch-points and nuanced behaviours, stretching these ideas across the entire customer experience is a more complex task than ever for agencies and clients alike.
